Howdy, usually after christmas I take some gift money and buy some important text books. I am looking for the definitive textbook or if not, then a good text book that would introduce me to some techniques I know little about. Please send to me or post to the net books on the following subjects: 1) Regular and custom video related to computers. Last year I worked as a consultant in medical imaging and quickly got lost in the various definitional terms and what they meant. Salesman were of little help since they knew less then I. I needed a good text book that included such things as: variations on standard TV video, strengths and weaknesses of different camera types, different recording types, different scanner types. 2) Robot vision I understand there are a host of standard image analysis and reconstruction techniques available. What is a good textbook for someone who is not deep into Electrical Engineering but has a good basic math background? 3) Quantitative Morphology Related to robot vision, this field includes a number of analysis techniques for describing what is in an image including erosion techniques. This, of course, relates to object modeling as well. Any help on these would be appreciated.
