[comp.graphics] looking for DEM softwares

Our academic research team is involved in geological remote sensing; we should
like to develop methods using 3D views of structural objects.
We are looking for public domain softwares (free or low cost):
        1. to calculate Digital Elevation Models from SPOT stereoscopic couples
	and other various stereoscopic digital images  of structural objects.
	2. to visualize and manipulate vector grids and gouraud shaded surfaces
	drawn from the DEMs on SUN SPARC 4/330 GXP24 or SPARC 4/60 GX8.
