The local paper had an article on Chef Donovan Fandre's microwave cooking
class/book "Microwaves Are for Cooking" which included an offer for a copy
of tips from the book.  Send bus. size SASE to Donovan Fandre, Box 29372-CT,
Oakland, Ca.  94604.  "...steaming, poaching, sauteing, roasting and
reheating [are] the best uses for microwave ovens.  The microwave is not
suited for baking, frying, broiling, browning or drying out food."  Sounds
promising for someone who only cooks bacon in her MwO.
