These are always a great seller at parties. I make no claims for any
sort of authenticity, but I've never had any left over!

Oriental Hot Chicken Wings (as featured at Brian's fantastic parties):

5 lbs of chicken wings (I use the IQF ones)
1 cup of low-salt soy sauce
2 TBSP cayenne pepper or somewhat less Tabasco
4 TBSP ground ginger powder
2 TBSP MSG (Accent will do if you can't get it cheaper)
6 TBSP Garlic Powder
about a teaspoon of sesame oil if you have some

Dump all of this into a large baking dish, and add enough water to cover
the chicken most of the way. Cover it with plastic wrap and let it sit
in your refrigerator. Anywhere from an hour to 3 days is about right.

Then take off the plastic wrap, and bake it in the oven at about 350 or
so for about 1/2 hour or longer. (Don't microwave them. Chicken turns
to glue in a microwave.) They are ready about 15 minutes after
the aroma starts to drive you crazy. Turn the oven down to warm, and
pull a few at a time out with tongs and drain them on crumpled paper
towels. Eatemup.

[IQF = Individually Quick Frozen - as prepared for food service. They
have been cleaned and split, then frozen, then covered with an ice glaze
to prevent freezer burn. You can just cook them straight out of the
freezer without even waiting for them to defrost!]
