Assuming some level of general interest, here it is re-posted... Date: Friday, February 2, 1990 8:14:00 am (EST) From: cugini@ise.ncsl.nist.gov ("JOHN_CUGINI") Subject: PHIGS benchmarks To: "kumar" <kumar@edsews.eds.com> Cc: "jch" <jch> There's a cooperative effort by several graphics vendors (Apollo, DEC, HP, IBM, SGI, ...) to develop a set of graphics benchmarks. I'm not sure how far along they are. It's called "Graphics Performance Characterization" and is administered by: NCGA 2722 Merrilee Dr., Suite 200 Fairfax VA 22031 (703) 698-9600 We at NIST are developing conformance tests for PHIGS, available in late spring 1990. These will test that implementations follow the standard correctly, but will not address performance. If you think this is of general interest, please re-post to comp.graphics.
