We're a dealer in CAD hardware and software (not just ACAD), so obviously, we have a great deal of interest. And, yes, I try to go through comp.sys.ibm.pc as often as possible, but with 99% of the garbage down there being of no interest, it's almost hopeless. Even some of the questions I've asked down there have gotten little or no response. So, what do you want to talk about. How about problems in setting up? Has anyone started up the 386 version of ACAD yet? (Personally, I'm having a problem with memory conflicts on my display list card and ACAD386.) How about some interesting AutoLisp routines we've all made up? Let's get some traffic! jb@aablue.UUCP -- A A Blueprint Co., Inc. - Akron, Ohio +1 216 794-8803 voice UUCP: {uunet!}aablue!jb (John B. Sure why not? then when the comp.graphics regulars get tired of reading about CAD, then we will have an excuse to start a new newsgroup. Some Background on what I use CAD for: I am using AutoCAD R10 on a Compaq-386/20 running on MSDOS that is running under InterActive Unix (is that complex or what?). It flies. I am using the Paradise-16 VGA card, and have no problems. I do electrical drafting, some artwork for business presentations, and diagrams for user manuals. Why don't we start an alt.CAD newsgroup? Does anyone know how to go about doing so? and how to get the distribution going? I know you don't have to go through standard channels to start an Alt group, since it is carried only by sites that request it. the only problem would be convincing every site between all of us to carry it. -- John Sparks | D.I.S.K. 24hrs 1200bps.
