We are not sophisticated users so please no flames! Machine: Zenith 159--20Meg PC compatible Printer: NEC P5 series Applications: Dbase III+ Part of a complex personnel system developed in Dbase is a report that requires a graphics printer. This report is done on 8 1/2 X 11 paper and consists of a complete border of "birthday cakes" with individuals with birthdays this month centered in the middle in birthdate order. Of course the report runs automatically on the 1st of each month! Our student programmer has done a fine job of design on our developmenmt machine and the report works fine--BUT when installed on our production machine the report "prints all over the page in a rather random fashion" The printer with the development machine is a NEC P5XL (will print color) The printer with the production machine is a NEC P5 (no color) We are not trying to print in color with either machine! The control codes for the printers appear to be the same when not using the color option. Help will be greatly appreciated or referral to a more appropriate newsgroup. Phil---
