I have a SUN SparcStation-1 that I need to find a 400 DPI gray-scale scanner for. MICROTEK had promised a SparcStation-1 compatible unit by last October, but they have slipped the ship date several times. Currently they are saying maybe by the end of March. The problem seems to be the SCSI-2 interface on the SparcStation-1. Since the S-Bus on the SparcStation-1 does not have much in the way of 3rd party expansion cards for high performace device interfacing, a SCSI-2 interface for the scanner would be necessary to achieve decent through-put. Any information on what solutions are out there for the SparcStation-1 would be greatly appreciated. Please E-Mail any responses.
