Does anyone have any recipes for persimmons? I have a good one for a quick bread from the book {\it Beard on Bread}. The Los Angeles Times recently did an article on persimmons in the cooking section and the recipes they printed were pretty much the usual stuff. I was looking for something like a pie (e.g. custard) or maybe other quick bread recipes. While i'm on the subject of quick breads, the recipe for pumpkin gingerbread in {\it Maida Heatter's New Book of Great Desserts} makes an incredibly delicous loaf. I prefer it with 100% whole wheat flour as it makes it heavier and moister.
