[comp.graphics] ACM SIGGRAPH T-shirts?

josh@cditi.UUCP (Josh Muskovitz) (02/15/90)

I just got my copy of the SIGGRAPH (oh, I dunno what they're called) and there
was a small article on the winners of the T-shirt contest.

But nothing on if/when/how distribution will occur! Anybody know? They seemed
like they might be cool shirts!

Just another question from

Generally speaking, there will be no distribution. The PIXAR shirt (the 3-D
knicknack shirt) is available (possibly in a slightly different form) from
Direct Cinema/Real Video -- see the weekly posting for details. However,
as far as I know, all of the other shirts were fun projects intended for
internal consumption only. I'd be *very* surprised if any of the winners
had any intention of providing the shirts to the general public.

This is not say that they're impossible to get, however. If you produce a
really snazzy graphics t-shirt and know somebody who has a shirt you want,
you may be able to negotiate a trade (this is how somebody I know got a PDI
t-shirt). Otherwise, you may as well forget it.
