This is a list that I compiled since yesterday. Thanks to everyone who
sent me all the information to make this list possible. If I have missed
any locations or there are any corrections, please mail me. Again, I
am grateful for the overwhelming response I received (in less than 12 hours).
Also, sumex.stanford.edu has it's few GIF files in Mac only format:
i.e. binhex'ed and squeez'ed. I have mailed them requesting them to be
changed back into regular GIF files to benefit a wider audience but I'll
just wait and see. In the meantime, be warned.

Last August I pulled a posting off the net which listed ftp GIF sites. Unfortunately, a lot of them don't have GIF pics anymore. Does anyone have a list of favorite GIF sites they wouldn't mind sharing? Perhaps this would be something neat to add to the weekly "commonly asked questions" posting. Thanks!
