To a fellow in UK that for some reason cant reach with personal mail. Hi, I just read you article about ocean weaves. I have papers with different or close approaches to ocean weaves. The papers I have are : 1) Fourier Synthesis of ocean weaves ( the one you have ) 2) A simple model of ocean waves by Alain Fourier & William Reeves in ACM transactions in grphics Vol 20, Number 4, August 1986 3) Modeling Waves and Surf by Darwyn Peachy in ACM transactions in grphics Vol 20, Number 4, August 1986 My semester project is to "draw" Realistic landscapes and I have just finished implementing the Midpoint displasement algorithm to get mountains, and I was just going to start on the waves. I didnt know which article to start with, when I read your article. You would really save me the typing and the time if you could send me the implementation of the first paper so I can maybe take a look at it and see what the problem might be. The second paper has I think the same equations as the first paper so you might be able to find a difference in your code. I dont know if this helps but have fun anyway Saki Gaitatzes (gjs@mentor.cc.purdue.edu) (agg@medusa.cs.purdue.edu)
