Can anyone recommend any references that describe some techniques/approaches to
do the following:
1) Scan an image area for objects. Objects are isolated most likely
by some adaptive threshold (maybe a specified intensity gradient?)
that allows the flexibility of working with images with shaded or
uneven backgrounds.
2) Perform calculations on the objects, such as individual area.
3) Outline the objects and produce an object count.
Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ahead of time!
