Sorry about the last message. The problem of converting From Pict, Postscript, MacDraw, and other Vector Formats to Raster formats such as MacPaint, Tiff, Gif, ad nauseum is a problem that comes up quite often. One solution which I have found (Which is by no means complete) is available from RAIV. Basically what it does is convert pixel based images which can be displayed on a VGA screen to a simple Vector format which could then be transfered to one of the Postscript, Pict... group. He told me last fall that he would also soon have a library for sale which did this. I don't know if it is available yet. If Interested contact: James A. Clark 2461 Crocus Dr. Phoenix, AZ 85023 (602) 789-9786 I have no connection with the company other than the fact that it is a neat thing he is trying to do. I put this up because people are always asking about conversions and this seemed like it might be appropriate. This process is by no means trivial. It requires processing on the order of that required for Optical Character Recognition. If anyone else has information about this type of conversion by others please post.
