To the Toronto Local Siggraph Membership: Our next Siggraph event is scheduled for Tuesday, April 17 at 8pm at Apple Canada in the multimedia centre. Our host will be Steve Sklepowich, and he'll be giving a brief introduction and overview of Apple's approach to desktop computing, after which we'll all breakout to four briefing centres: -Multimedia; -Illustration and Design; -Design and Modelling; and -Technical Productivity. All systems will have 24-bit pixels. There will also be one of the new 40MHz FX machines, one of the new RISC based 24bit accelerators, an A/UX 2.0 machine, and a prototype video interface that lets you capture live video sequences and play them back from the Clipboard. So many things to try! So bring all those Mac CG and video questions and get some answers. Also to note, this is an RSVP event as attendance is limited. Please call Bill Wright at Design Vision ( 585-2020 ) to secure a spot and get directions. *** Another event of interest, the local SMPTE chapter is holding a special mini-conference on April 28 and 29 (Sat and Sun AM).
