[comp.graphics] high-resolution video card

Hello pixel-grabbers,

I'am looking for a special video card of an IBM-PC/AT 286.
It should have high resolution (at least 1024x768 pixels)
it should allow to produce 64K colors (out of 24M), its
memory base adress should be software determinable (not the
nice fixed base adress of all common cards, I want to use
both, one for normal applications, and the other for image-
processing (especially astronomical plates)). But the main
reason for a video-ram base vector is the possibility to
use 286/386/486 protected mode (much faster screen swapping).
To get the images I could use a very expensive digitizer.
But best would be to use a video-camera (PAL/NTSC)I can plug
in to a special port on the video card. This would allow to
use the camera interactively for brigth objects (moon, sun, etc.),
process the picture and save it (through another video port)
on a video tape.
I fear, that this kind of card does not exist. (in TV I think,
they use such things, but because I have neither a million
dollars nor a home to put four wardrobe-like computers in it,
that does not work). But I would be very interested, if I am
the only one, who dreams of such a multi-function card, and
if there are any labs or factories working on such kind of
video-card for PC's.
