About two years ago I spent a day hiking up near Julian. On the way home, we stopped at a small roadside store and bought some hard-boiled eggs that were floating in a large jar of liquid along with jalapeno peppers. The eggs turned out to be very good (and hot!) and I have wondered since then how they were made. I have made two attempts at reproducing them, but my results have been rather unfavorable. Is there anyone aquainted with these spicy eggs (huevos jalapenos?) and/or familiar with the method used to make them? Jim Curl UC, San Diego
