I realize that ray tracing seems to be the topic in vogue, and considering the attainable quality of ray-traced images (at least for specular lighting) I can understand the enthusiasm of the group. I am curious, however, to see if there is anyone involved with Z-buffer, and/or scan-line rendering techniques. I have been having problems with certain kinds of algebraic and density primitives and would be delighted to find some sample source-code which can handle scan-line subdivision, or micro-dicing of these beasties. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. William C. Archibald
