I wish to do the following: 1) Videotape a machine in operation. 2) Capture key images. 3) Digitize points on the image to establish locations in 2D. I can do #1 easily, with a grid in the background to establish the true scale. For #2 we intend to use a Willow VGA-TV board (NTSC video in, IBM-PC VGA compatible TIFF files out). When it comes to #3, I can't find any off the shelf software to help. I believe that something similar is done in kinesiological studies, can anybody point me to the appropriate software (or if necessary, hardware)? Suggestions for other newsgroups that might be appropriate to post to would also be appreciated.
