Bourgeat is closing out its line of `Gourmet' and `Commercial' nickel- lined copper pots at 50% off retail, direct from the distributor, shipping included. I am passing along this announcement because it seems like an opportunity not to be missed. (I do not benefit personally.) They will soon be coming out with a stainless-lined series which will retail at 10-15% more than the old line, that is, about 2.2 times the closeout price. The distributor believes that the nickel lining should last about 5 years before requiring retinning in home use; the warranty is for 1 year on the lining, and 30 on the cookware. The Gourmet line is 1.4mm solid copper lined with nickel; the Commercial line is 2.5mm. At these prices, everyone who wants copper should be able to afford it.
