[A friend of mine sent me this query. If anyone can help him, please reply directly to him.] From rgardner@charon.MIT.EDU Fri Jul 20 21:30:00 1990 Return-Path: <rgardner@charon.MIT.EDU> Date: Tue, 17 Jul 90 02:43:30 EDT From: rgardner@charon.MIT.EDU (Richard Gardner) Apparently-To: lkk Apparently-To: info-nets@think.com I would like to get some equations for generating fractal images in color. Its for an art project I have in mind for Harvard Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts. I want to do a sidewalk fractal painting on the sidewalk. So what I need to be able to do is to generate a matrix of how each point in the painting should be colored. For example, starting with a 100 X 100 matrix, which of 7 colors should be painted on each box/brick? Here's a picture of part of the matrix: gbb... ggb... ggg... . . . where g stands for green, b for blue. I would like to have some simple equations that can be made part of a BASIC program that I can run on a VAX or IBM compatible. -- larry kolodney (The Devil's Advocate) UUCP: ...{ihnp4 | decvax!genrad}!mit-eddie!lkk
