I have received so many mail messages asking how to become a SIGGRAPH
student volunteer that I decided to post the info instead of mailing.
Basically, student volunteers do alot of work at SIGGRAPH; running
errands, working security and crowd control, or even the hardest job
(GASP) - working for the AV crew. In return, you are allowed to attend
all of the courses, panels, and paper discussions for free. You will
also receive other goodies depending on the amount of time you put in
(between 20 and 35 hours).
For the official info, write to:
SIGGRAPH '90
Student Volunteers

Suite 600
Chicago, Ill 60601
I highly recommend do it! This year was my first, and hopefully I'll be
back again next year...

Has anyone out there that is supposed to be a student volunteer at SIGGRAPH gotten any more information back about where you will be staying, what to do, etc? I sent back my form in June, but haven't received anything back yet. Alex Brown aob@beta.lanl.gov
