[comp.graphics] Need recommendation for computer-controlled video recorder

Hello...  I am looking for a video recorder that allows very tight
control over track numbers, etc.  I need to be able to  have the
computer play back from track number n to n+m.  Also, be able to
have the same control when forwarding or reversing the tape.

Who manufactures such devices?  Any phone numbers would be helpful...
