I am going to have access to a scanner for a macintosh soon, as was wondering what the law says about using artworked scanned from various sources. So far I've been able to find this out: Anything older than 1915 is free of copyright and can be used Anything free of copyright can be used (Not esp. helpful, but I've heard that works of the US Gov't are generally free of copyright) Anything copyrighted can be used with permission of the author, etc etc Does anyone out there have any more information? Such as where I could find a large body of color/b&w photographs of outdoor scenes free of copyrights? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Carl Schaad jjm108@psuvm.bitnet ces@psuarch.bitnet
