RGB -> nice NTSC QUESTION... I've got a question about putting a sunraster file out to video. Basically I guess the question is how do you make a pallet in RGB that will produce an effective "rainbow" NTSC, that is look good on a TV? I can merrily produce RGB pallets on my Sun, but nice rainbows don't look like nice rainbows on a TV. The same applies to MAC pictures. Does anyone out there have an "optimal" RGB pallet that defines a nice 64 (for example) RGB pallet that looks decent (on TV) and has a good range of colors in NTSC? BTW, I'm aware of the fact that it might just look like crap in RGB. That's ok. The point is to make a nice TV picture! Antialiased Hersey fonts??? Has anyone out there ever implemented an anti-aliased display routine for Hershey fonts? Sounds like a great idea to me and I wonder if anyone has ever done it??? Thanks for any answers. If anyone has any suggestions or experience (good or bad) in either of these two areas, please drop me a e-note! Tim Holt Oregon State University / Oceanography ?
