[comp.graphics] Equally spaced points on a sphere...

icsg8005@khan.cs.montana.edu (Palakovich) (09/16/90)

A while back, someone posted an algorithm to generate equally spaced points on
the surface of a sphere. If anyone still has that algorithm, could you please
post it again?

Thanks in advance,

Jim

An algorithm (and application) based on the cylindrical equal-area projection
appears in the new _Graphics Gems_ (Academic Press) at the end of the piece
on Digital Cartography.
