It has been more than a month now since I called Evans & Sutherland's marketing department to ask for detailed information on their PEX-in- hardware line of graphics workstations. I have not received it. What makes this especially annoying is that this is the FOURTH time this has happened. My first call was the day that I read their announcement, because my organization here at JPL evaluates all such new technology for the Lab & publishes reports in an in-house quarterly magazine of 60-80 pages. The pattern has been the same all four times: I call, they say the info will go in the mail the next day, & I wait a month before deciding that I need to call again. Does anyone out there know what's going on? Is E&S in trouble of some kind, so that all their marketing efforts are this bad? Or is it just the PEX line of workstations? For that matter, what are the experiences of users on this list with E&S generally? Does their equipment (especially the newer stuff) work as advertised? Is their tech support adequate? And lastly, has ANYONE actually used the PEX workstations? What's been your experience with them, if so? Larry Carroll
