In this year's animation festival currently in North CA theaters consisting of about 20 short pieces, I noticed not a single computer RENDERED selection whereas there has been a few in recent years. I wonder why? Are the alternative forms of animation still more artistically interesting than computer animation? Most of these pieces had copyrights from the past four years. I do not rule out COMPUTER-AIDED animation in these pieces, such as story boarding and compositing.

It may also have to do with the fact that there are animation festivals devoted to computer-generated animations also...
