[comp.graphics] Need JPEG or DCT source.

Does anyone have C source that implements the JPEG
image compression standard? If not, does anyone have an image
compression routine that uses discrete cosine transforms?

					Thanks,

i would like to know where i can find a copy of the JPEG standard.
somewhere i can write? maybe a copy is online somewhere on the net :-) ?
I'd also be interested in C source example.

Electronics for Imaging sells software called ECOMP which does
JPEG image compression. They give you the source for the
algorithm and a demo that runs on the Sun, Mac or PC.

I am not affiliated with the company, but we bought the product
and it worked fine on the Sun and Mac. The Mac version
had a nice window based demo.
