Well, version 1 of the collection of ray tracing abstracts is almost ready to go. All but a few papers are entered. I decided not to try to get them all in since I keep coming across new references. I still need to put the the file in a sort of neutral format that can be converted to Latex or troff. I intend to write a program that will read the neutral file format and convert to either of the two text formatters. Since I expect that there will be some errors/problems, I will prepare the remaining papers for the second release with fixes for whatever bugs are reported. A couple of people said they had ftp space, but my e-mailbox got accidently deleted through a wierd sequence of events. So please send me instructions again. The file in its uncompressed form is about 200,000 bytes right now. Expect the amount of compression of normal text to occur. Also, I didn't receive any comments about the collection infringing on any copyrights and did receive several comments stating that it doesn't. So it appears that this will be ok. Tom
