[comp.graphics] xxxx.TIF to BINARY BITMAP info please.

lundonj@ul.ie (11/10/90)

Hello Netters,
	    Presently I am working on a Neural Network problem and
have come upon a problem for which I need somebody out there to help
with. I have absolutely no clue about graphics and have never used this
group before.

PROBLEM : I scan a page using a scanner and it produces a file
xxxxx.TIF but I need to be able to access the bitmap pixel by pixel.
So as not to reinvent the wheel has anybody out there utilities that
you could E-Mail or FTP to me that will produce a binary bitmap with no
other information except the image itself. Turbo pascal/c/anything will
do.

i.e		xxxxx.TIF file   =>   BINARY BITMAP.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated!
