Dear oh dear. I hope this is the right group to post to... I couldn't think of any other. Basically, I seem to have found an undocumented 'feature' in Quick Ray tracer.... BTW This is QRT version 1.5 This feature (bug) happens when I put a perfectly transparent object in front of another, visible object. When the results are viewed in a mirror, the apparent distance of the visible object from the mirror is doubled. However, when viewed directly (not reflected) the image looks fine. Hopefully this is understandable! I would like to know why this might happen (is it to do with the ray-tracing model that QRT uses?) Even better, has anyone else found this program and even <gulp> fixed it? It's currently really getting in my way on an animation I am doing... Mail to Thomas.Farmer@bbs.actrix.gen.nz or tfarmer@cavebbs.gen.nz Any help would be appreciated! (My last post got sent 14 times. It wasn't a problem at my system. I sincerely hope it doesn't happen again.) -- Yes folks, here it is! The unofficial .sig for Sleeping Beagle! mail Thomas.Farmer@bbs.actrix.gen.nz (I think) (P.S. I live in a sane society. I don't NEED a disclaimer!)
