Yeah, we're still here, and looking closely at the Image Alchemy offering.
Their $79.95 shareware price seems pretty steep, so I don't think we will
be dissuaded from going forward with our free implementation.

Part of the motivation for our work was to produce high-quality, portable
JPEG source code.  We hope that availability of such code will help to cut
down on incompatible implementations (although we evidently had better get
it out pretty quickly to do that).
