A whole bunch of packages > will come out, all claiming to be THE jpeg, and none will work with the other. Yeah, we're still here, and looking closely at the Image Alchemy offering. Their $79.95 shareware price seems pretty steep, so I don't think we will be dissuaded from going forward with our free implementation. Part of the motivation for our work was to produce high-quality, portable JPEG source code.
