Recently a friend picked up some diskettes labeled "NASA VGA High Resolution pictures from outer space Req. 512K" He couldn't get them to display, and I haven't been able to either. The files have a suffix .SCL and the program on the disk used to display the files is called PRESENT.EXE by ColoRIX software c/1988 (with no documentation, of course). The error message I get is "Cannot Set Video Mode for SCL". I have tried these on a standard VGA, A PS2, and an ATI-VGA Wonder (512K) with a NEC 3-D attached and none will work. Looking at the .SCL file with Norton, it starts off with RIX3 and the rest is binary. Anybody have any experience with of this type of file, the PRESENT software, or this diskette package (distributed by TECH-SHARE PO Box 453 Owings Mills, MD 21117)? Anybody have any documentation or information on the PRESENT software? Thanks in advance for any replies. -- Walt Dabell -- (302) 645-4225 -- walt@delocn.udel.edu -- delocn::walt --
