I'm looking for information on a file format known as "STL" and translators from other 3-d surface or solid formats to STL. The STL form is used by DTM (Austin, TX) for their laser sintering process of "desktop machining". They have translators from SDRC's solid modeller format to STL, but unfortunately I don't have access to any SDRC software. Ideally, I'd like information anyone has on translators from AutoCAD .DXF to STL, both products and public domain software (if any).
