i was inspired to create a sandwich for my 2 year old by combining a number of foods she enjoyed, also in the interests of complete protein... she hasn't eaten one of these in a while (her food tastes have become narrower), but i've been craving one lately... on whole wheat breat: crunchy (natural) peanut butter (Deaf Smith is great) pickle relish, cheddar cheese (thinly sliced or grated), bacon bits (i used the soy version), sprouts &/or lettuce (p.s., i use UNsalted peanut butter, otherwise this is rather high sodium. obviously, i'm not nuts about real sweet stuff... tho you could add a little something to those peanut butter & banana sandwiches: grated coconut (the thick kind from the natural food store, not that sweet soapy stuff from the supermarket)

I just had p.b. on thin slices of apple when I was visiting my cousin. Excellent
