I have this problem. My collection of recipes is growing quite fast - new cookbooks, Gourmet and Bon Appetit magazines, and the recipes I pull off the net. How do I keep them all organized? Since most of them do not appear on line, it's impossible to use the computer to store them all. It would take me eons to input all the recipes I'm interested in. What I want is a system that allows me to access recipes by a number of attributes, such as main ingrediants, cooking time, and type of dish(main, side, dessart). It seems like there's got to be an easier way to access all the recipes I have. As it stands right now, I look in a few cookbooks that I look in all the time(my favorites, you could say) and find what fits what I have in the refrigerator. I seem to be under-utilizing some of my cookbooks and my magazines. Is anyone aware of any efficient database systems that organizes all this stuff? Has anyone imple- mented anything using UNITY? Any info would be appreciated! Sharon Badian ihnp4!hocsp!ahutb!seb

I have lots of clipped recipes from magazines and newspapers and a solution: invest in some of those folders that protect paper and fit into a looseleaf binder. My mother gave me a copy of the recipes from her Chinese cooking class this way (in a looseleaf binder), and I've found it to be very handy. Let's face it -- do YOU want to have to wait for your computer to boot every time you want to make dinner? --Lynn Gold ...tymix!figmo
