I would like to start a project that eventually would do animation of people as well as things. I'm going to stick to black and white (or maybe gray scale). I've seen what ray tracing and solid modeling can do and though while appealing I would prefer to just draw lines--kind of like cartoons but without the color. Or a more "highbrow" media: black and white comic books. I.e. I don't want to draw circles and squares for heads and body parts but actually draw faces with noses and eyebrows like an illustrator would. I undersand there are some projects involved in rendering human faces--mostly concerned with texture and shading. I don't think they would be helpful but if yoiu know better.... I don't have much experience with doing graphics (virtually none). (I have picked up the periodic info posting.) Does anyone know of any references you could point me to? Does anyone have any experience doing this? Are people not doing this because it's not "exciting"? or technologically tough? Thanks. Any help would be appreciated. Bill
