[comp.graphics] HELP! Calculation Q's.

bstein@hpuxa.ircc.ohio-state.edu (Brian T. Stein) (02/27/91)

Again I have posted for some help here. I recieved in my mailbox
the Platonic Solids list of vertex coordinates. Thank you Paul, again.
They have made things much easier, but...

Does anyone know how I can group the vertices in order so that when
plotted lines can be connected from the current to the new point, so
that each face will be defined. Right now, when I tried this, since I
used each set at a time (i.e. first the (+-2,0,0) coordinates, then the
next set, etc...).

Also, now that I have the vertices...assuming I can now figure out the
faecs, I need to cover each surface with spheres. The radius will
simply be the length of any edge divided by 10 (six spheres on each
edge). Again, I need to know which vertices are next to each other...
I obviously don't have a sure grasp on 3-D plotting with x,y,z coords
in relation to each other.

Thanks again all.

Brian
