[comp.graphics] Transparency Scanner

phg@cl.cam.ac.uk (Philip Gladwin) (03/02/91)

Anyone know of such a thing? I mean a little attachment that would
allow you to scan individual colour transparencies/slides. (NOT prints)

I'm not _too_ bothered about the quality, as they will be stored in
64 colour format anyway. More crucial is reliability, durability and
price.

Thanks for any pointers.

Investigate the following:
Howtek with special lamp attachment /Imapro
Nikon LS3500 35mm slides only (but probably the best)
Leaf Scanners (up to 5x4)

prices I guess 10-20k pounds

or/
go to a trade shop & use a Crosfield scanner & just pay for the time on it
