I have an application that draws simple wire-frame 3D objects. Actually, right now it merely computes functions of two variables. I'd like to expand it to viewing general 3D objects under X windows. What object file format should I use? I am mainly interested in handling the most popular format. I would only use the basic information like points, edges, polygons and perhaps color. I must confess I know little about the subject, so if you endorse a particular format, I would much appreciate if you would be somewhat specific about what it's strengths and weaknesses are. I browsed over the FAQ list before posting this, but if this turns out to be a common question, I appologize ... Thank you. /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | Scott Silvey | Ronald Reagan to surgeons in emergency ward after | | scott@xcf.berkeley.edu | being shot: | | | | | Flames to /dev/null | "Please tell me you're Republicans." | \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/
