#N:sri-unix:3100001:000:419 sri-unix!mclure Dec 11 05:32:00 1982 I like a couple of his Sitar+Tabla+Tambura records on the Columbia label: namely, The Sounds of India (Ragas Dadra, Maru-Bihag, Bhimpalasi, Sindhi-Bhairavi) and The Genuis of Shankar (Ragas Abhogi and Des, Tabla Solo-Jhaptal, Sitar Todi, and Thumri). I'd be interested in recommendations of other Shankar recordings. I believe the soundtrack for the new Attenborough film "Ghandi" was substantially Shankar. Stuart
