THE 9TH EUROGRAPHICS UK CONFERENCE
**************************************************************************
THE 9TH EUROGRAPHICS UK CONFERENCE will be held
at the University of Sheffield from 10th-12th April 1991.
Key speakers include Henri Gouraud, Dave Kerwin and John Woodwark.
The Conference offers a wide variety of Tutorials, Papers and an Exhibition
with Research Demonstrations.
The Conference themes are:
COMPUTER IMAGING AND IMAGE PROCESSING;
and COMPUTER GRAPHICS AND SPORTS SCIENCE.
As always, these themes will be supplemented with many general
presentations.
DAY 1 (April 10th) consists of three parallel Tutorials:
IMAGE PROCESSING BY THE HUMAN VISUAL SYSTEM
Simon J Thorpe (Paris)
PHIGS PLUS
Henri Gouraud (Paris) and Mike Stapleton (London)
COMPUTER GRAPHICS APPLICATIONS IN SPORTS BIOMECHANICS IN BRITAIN
David Kerwin and Fred Yeadon (Loughborough)
DAYS 2 AND 3 (April 11-12th) consist mainly of three parallel
paper streams, with Plenary sessions for the key speakers.
The SOCIAL PROGRAMME includes a CONFERENCE DINNER (April 11th) and a visit
to KELHAM ISLAND INDUSTRIAL MUSEUM (April 10th) where there will be
demonstrations of working factory-scale steam engines. These events are
also available to accompanying persons.
The Conference is organised by the Eurographics UK Chapter in association
with:
BCS Electronic Publishing Group,
GINO Users Group,
UNIRAS UK User Group,
BCS Displays Group,
Imaging Panel
British Machine Vision Association.
Members of these organizations may book at discounted rates.
