[comp.graphics] looking for latest ACM

laszlo@hppad.waterloo.hp.com (Joe Laszlo) (04/05/91)

I'm looking for an ftp site from which I can get the most recent version of
ACM (I believe it's an Air Combat flight simulator that runs under X11R4.)

BTW, what does the 'M' stand for?

Thanks in advance.

The version 2.1 update to acm can be retrieved via anonymous ftp from
expo.lcs.mit.edu. The pathname is "contrib/acm.2.1.tar.Z". It contains
all files needed to build and run acm.

Fixes for 2.1 include a work-around for an apparent memory leak in Sun's
Xlib, some improved imake specifications, and tweaks to the flight
simulation code. The documentation has been updated, as well.

Acm is a multiplayer, modern aerial combat simulation written for X11 and
Unix. It can be run on both monochrome and color X servers.
