Flipping through the most recent copy of Scientific American, I stumbled across an advertisement for Graphics Gems II. Anybody got an inside story on this? Apparently Glassner didn't edit this one. Currently in the typesetting/ proofing stage, should be available by SIGGRAPH. Strange that they would be advertising it already. -- "How am I typing? Call 1-303-279-1300" Jack C. The volume is edited by Jim Arvo. We will continue to publish books in the series as long as we receive enough high-quality submissions. I'm the series editor, but each volume will be edited by a different individual - I felt this would help keep the books diverse and lively. Contributors will continue to receive royalties for their work. If you have an idea for a Gem, you may request an author's guide by writing to Academic Press, Graphics Gems Author's Packet, 955 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge, MA 02139. -Andrew Glassner (glassner@xerox.com)
