I'm working on a graphics project using IBM's Graphics Library. My task is to read in a file describing a 3-D object, display it as realistically as possible (lighting effects, etc.), and allow the user to change his/her viewpoint (in 6 degrees of movement). Its this last bit that's giving me problems: the manual seems to say that the viewing point can be altered using the same subroutines as are used for transforming objects (rotate, translate, etc) but it doesn't give any examples of how to do this. I've tried various things, but they usually end up transforming the object relative to the world coordinates rather than transforming the viewing coordinates. Has anyone got any experience with this kind of problem ? Any advice would be greatly apreciated. Thanks Aleks Zivanovic az@cip-s01.informatik.rwth-aachen.de
