[comp.graphics] Fractal animation request

bcorrie@csr (Brian Corrie) (05/03/91)

Hello world,

Sorry if you have seen this (or something similar), but it never showed
up at our site, so I try once more.

Just think, if we had comp.graphics.research, you wouldn't have to see this
request if you were just reading the .research group.... 8-)

I am looking for a program to animate fractals. What I need is to change
the parameters to a fractal generator incrementally, so I will get a
smooth looking fractal animation. I am not an expert on fractals, and I
have no idea what is available out there. Can you help me.

I would prefer a program that runs on an IBM PC Clone with a TIGA board
or on a SGI 4D25. It is just necessary to generate the frames, not actually
perform the animation in real time or anything like that. The frames will
later be stored to video for some TV work. Anything will be acceptable, as I
am sure we can hack it to work on our hardware.

Thanks in advance,

	B

Under the most rigorously controlled conditions of pressure, temperature,
volume, humidity and other variables, the organism will do as it damn well
pleases. Sounds like some of the code I have written...... 8-)
