I am currently writing a program which defines three dimensional objects which are generated by defining a 2-D polygon which is swept around an axis or extruded along an axis. Now I am looking at shading the 3-D objects that I have created. I have not had much experience with shading, and so I would be very grateful if anyone could send me information,'C' code or algorithms which perform Gourand shading (or similar) on 3_D objects. Any advice would be welcomed. Please email to cpgrb@marlin.jcu.edu.au or bennett@earth.cs.jcu.edu.au Thanks in advance, Graeme Bennett. Get the Book: High-Resolution Computer Graphics Using C. By: Ian O.
Angell. ISBN: 0-333-49873-9. It is a great intro
for beginners and you can even do Phong shading by using it.
Provides code and theory in a usable combination. There are
also versions of it for Pascal and Fortran.
