From "Vibration Cooking", by Verta Mae [Grosvenor]: "Cut up and season and saute the chicken in peanut oil. When brown, add chopped bell pepper and chopped onions. When the onions are transparent, add red pepper and chicken broth and lots chunky-style peanut butter. Sauce should be on the stiff side. Serve with rice or plantain." Notes: don't cook to long or hard after adding the peanut butter -- it burns quickly. Bell pepper might be called "green pepper" in your neighborhood, though the red (ripe) ones look bettr. "Red pepper" means chili-peppers. This stew should warm your mouth. Verta Mae Grosvenor is a frequent commentator on "All Things Considered." Her book, subtitled, "Travel Notes of a Geeche Girl" was published in 1970 by Doubleday. Grab it if you can find it. Martin Minow decvax!minow
