In article <39960003@hpctdkz.HP.COM> you write: >Does anyone in netland have an IBMPC utility program that will take a >screen snapshot of a 256 color VGA mode (320x200, 640x480, 800x600 or >1024x768) and output it to a HP Paintjet XL color printer. I would >like a program that makes intelligent mapping of the colors on the >screen to colors on the printer, but, beggars cannot be choosers as Check out piclab from wuarchive.wustl.edu in the gif directory or the graphics directory. Also in the gif directory get the screen grapper that saves the screen in a gif format. The piclab driver for the paintjet is good if you play with the gamma correction a little. We have found that a gamma of 1.3 with the paintjet XL set to presentation mode gives good pictures. -- -- GUS WILLIAMS williams@casbah.acns.nwu.edu (708) 491-3838 williams@voltaire.cme.nwu.edu (708) 972-4609 williams@adelaide.ees.anl.gov Escape from the real world, get a PhD
